The Conceptual Hurdles

Further researching about a solid branding for my figurine boxes, I realized that creating an original appearance for the characters was gonna be quite a challenge since the brand's figurines needed to have a memorable feature that sets them apart from other collectible toys. Gathering more data about the creation of this project, distinctiveness was my main goal.

The Bears

The initial sketches started off with just the main idea of a bear character and started to build from there to iterate their own personalities and identities through certain trends and influences.

With several attempts and endless researching, I have made the eyes a distinct part about them in their own style and expression since the 'BOO' in Booyah Bears resemble a pair of eyes.

Extending the brand

I committed to the jumbled nature of the branding and compiled different shapes from organic to sharp to create a unique pattern that would display the brand’s personality and concept.
